Here is a storyboard frame from a recent campaign which is being screened Germany-wide. 4 TVC's were produced concerned with upgraded security for internet users. They can be viewed on youtube by searching for "saptv: Sicher im Netz".

This is a very quick rough for a personal piece I think might be fun to work up. A post-apocalyptic vision of road-warriors carving up the highway... or something like that. We'll see if I get around to it!

Batman Motion-Capture Drawing

This is a quick drawing of Batman I did ages ago. I was in Berlin at the time working for Omgraphix on a documentary about the French comic artist Moebius and we were trying out various motion-capture techniques. It became an element we used numerous times in the film. In the end we were lucky enough to be able to use animated drawings by comic legends like Moebius, Mike Mignola, Jim Lee and Enki Bilal.

This is a piece of private work - a belated wedding present for my friends Matt and Claudia McIntosh-Bowman.

Old Bits and Pieces

Here are just a few things - sketchbook pages, life drawings and paintings - that were done over the last 5 years or so, when I was still using mainly natural media. The "Portrait of the Xanthe in a Rabbit Fur Coat" was painted in Australia, as part of my entry for the Alice Bale Traveling Scholarship. The rest were done during my last long stint overseas in Berlin (04-06).

Recent Storyboard - Miele - glast.de

Here are a selection of frames from a set of presentation boards completed for Director Uwe Kleinheinrich of Glast Films Germany (www.glast.de). It is for a TVC for Miele entitled "Celebrations" which links particular items of clothing to memorable moments in the story of one young couple.

Here's a portrait study from a Julian Ashton's life drawing session. It took around an hour and a half.

CHESTERFILM Illustration

This is a digital painting I was commissioned to create by director Matt Bird for his production company Chesterfilm's website. The extended sections above and below the forest will provide a background for showreels and other features. Matt's site is being put together at the moment and will definitely be worth checking out. www.chesterfilm.com.au

Storyboards like this one make up a large proportion of my workload at any time. This one was completed for director Jonathan Nyquist and producer Warwick Boulter. TRACKS Magazine Quiksilver Pro '09 Illustration

I was asked by my good mate and editor of Tracks surfing magazine, Luke Kennedy, to sum up the scene on the Gold Coast during the first WCT contest of the year, the Quiksilver Pro, in an illustration. It was lots of fun doing caricatures of some of the true characters of the surfing world like Matt Hoy, Rabbit Bartholomew and Tommy Carroll.
