Volcom Fiji Pro Cartoon

A week or so ago the organizers of the Volcom Fiji Pro surf competition at Tavarua Island made the landmark decision NOT to run the day's competition as the swell jumped in size significantly during the day. While the world sat back and watched some of the craziest surfers on earth tackle the perfect 20 foot tubes, many people asked themselves why the top pros left in the event did not go out and take it on.

I drew a group caricature of the great band The Spaghetti Western Orchestra, which features my uncle Graeme and friends of his from Melbourne. They are all great characters and it was lots of fun to draw their cool costumes and white-painted faces.
